Dear Jill Helena,
A heart under the belt for this woman

We don't know you, but we feel deeply for you. How does Friday night feel for you? You must be exhausted after two days of a grueling process with an unexpected extra witness statement and, fortunately just a little, a postponement of the prosecution's demand. Supported by warmth and saddened by the hate that apparently comes with such a publicly viewed case. You had to relive everything, look the beast in the mouth. It was a gathering of a sum of the last years. We think about how difficult it must be when the other seems to have a completely different view of what happened in your eyes. I also wonder how you experienced Ali B's criticism of the judge, where he said that his boundaries were crossed and that the judge needs to learn to accept people's boundaries and that no really means no. In any case, we found it a remarkable statement from someone who is exactly accused of that.
As a victim in a case like this, you ultimately have not much to gain. You have lost years of your life to this whole story. And whatever the outcome is, you won't be dancing on tables when Ali B is in prison. You would have preferred it to be different. This story only has losers. You are not doing this for yourself, I can imagine, you are doing this for all women. And for that, we are grateful to you.
I wish you strength and soon also cautiously a bit of peace,
May
