Want to make: the perfect cocktails for Christmas

cocktails Christmas

With only 38 days until Christmas (but who’s counting) the preparations are slowly starting now. A good Christmas dinner is not just planned, especially not if you want to go all out. How do you make the evening even cozier? With a number of delicious cocktails, but then fully themed. We gathered the perfect drinks for this holiday season and we are happy to share them.

Mrs. Claus Cocktail

As the woman of the hour, Mrs. Claus certainly deserves her own cocktail. Here are the ingredients for you: 60ml raspberry vodka, 30ml orange liqueur, 60ml pomegranate juice, and 30ml sweet & sour mix. Mix all of this, with some ice, in a glass and shake (or stir) well. To finish it off, you can add some pomegranate seeds, a sprig of rosemary, and a little powdered sugar. Are you hosting the dinner this year? Then you should definitely make this for yourself too.

White Chocolate Christmas

Every year it might be one of the most asked questions: will we get snow this Christmas? Unfortunately, I can't give you the answer, but with the White Chocolate Christmas cocktail, you can at least ensure a white Christmas for yourself. For one drink, you use 45ml vodka or tequila (whichever you prefer), 45ml RumChata, and 45ml white chocolate liqueur. The latter provides that snow effect, of course. Whether the flakes will fall or not, you at least have the ultimate Christmas feeling.

Jack Frost

Do you know that feeling when it's so cold that your lips turn completely blue? With the Jack Frost cocktail, you can mimic that effect a bit, but without the cold. In a shaker (or glass), mix 60ml rum, 60ml pineapple juice, 30ml cream or milk, and 45ml Blue Curaçao. Add some ice and mix everything well. You can also make this cocktail a little more fun with a sprig of rosemary and some powdered sugar. It looks like it's freezing and snowing with your drink, but you can just enjoy the warmth at home (and your cocktail, of course).

Dirty Santa

Christmas with the (in-law) family is of course a classy affair. But that doesn't mean we can't spice up the evening a little with our drink. The Dirty Santa is the perfect cocktail for that; and you only need a few ingredients: mix 60ml vodka, 30ml lime juice, and 30ml grenadine in a glass and top it off with sprite or ginger ale. A good amount of ice cubes should not be missing here either. To make it just a bit classier (and because it's also very fun), you can create a white rim on your glass with vanilla icing and some coconut flakes. You see: classy and spicy go very well together.

Grinch Cocktail

I can hardly imagine it, but there are really people who have nothing to do with Christmas. Almost every family or friend group has such a grinch. For them, I have the perfect drink: the Grinch Cocktail. For this, you need 60ml vodka or rum, 30ml lime juice, 60ml melon liqueur, and 45ml pineapple juice. To make it, literally and figuratively, a little less sour, you can add a sugar rim. Hopefully, you can make their evening, and thus yours, a little better. Cheers!
