Look at her: Demi Moore really deserves your attention

There are a few of those actresses in Hollywood who are just really real, who lead the life of a normal person, while the whole world adores them. In this case, I am specifically talking about Demi Moore. It has been a bit quieter around Demi, and she received some criticism for taking on roles that were supposedly ’beneath’ her. Her role in ’the Substance’ seemed like a kind of answer to that criticism, as this is now considered one of her most daring roles ever. In the film, her character is obsessed with trying to maintain ‘eternal youth’, and thanks to a substance she believes will solve all her problems, terrible things happen. I've heard that people even left the cinema vomiting. Fortunately, Demi seems to have no trouble in real life maintaining her looks, as she looks better than ever. Perhaps it is also her loving personality that shines through, because in ‘real life’, things are not exactly going smoothly.

Trying to hold on to eternal youth is also a theme in her private life
It is no secret that Demi was married to Bruce Willis for a long time. The two had three children together, all of whom are now adults and have babies of their own. Despite separating in 1998, they are still very close. But when Bruce had trouble speaking in 2022, and then a year later was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia, a lot changed in their lives. This form of dementia is actually different from the most well-known form (Alzheimer's). Instead of noticing at first that a person is becoming increasingly forgetful, with FTD there are significant changes in the way someone behaves. For example, someone who was previously very empathetic suddenly has no empathy at all. Or someone who suddenly says very inappropriate things or takes impulsive actions. Only at a later stage do people with FTD also become more forgetful. Demi has previously explained in interviews that it makes no sense to keep looking back at the past. She cryptically said about it: “If you meet them where they are at that moment, then that is beautiful and loving.”
God knows how she combines it all
While all this is happening in life, and she has quietly filmed ’the Substance’ recently, she also managed to make time to take on a new series: ‘Landman’. This series is super relevant: it is about the impact of the oil industry on the environment, but also about economic issues and ethical dilemmas. So it doesn't sound like a series at ‘Gossip Girl’ level, but if you were hoping for a series with some personal storylines, then you're in luck. Landman will be streaming from November 20 via SkyShowtime, and you can enjoy a total of 10 episodes in this first season.
