Want to see: MAFS UK is back on Videoland
Married At First Sight is exactly the kind of show where I can't wait for a new season. My favorites are really those from Australia and England. There is just a bit more drama there than the Dutch version; and to be honest, that's what we watch for. So great news for all fans: MAFS UK season 9 is finally available on Videoland. And believe me, it will be enjoyable again.
The drama begins (immediately)
The participants meet each other during the bachelor parties, of course in two groups so that the couples only see each other for the first time at the altar. In England, they call this ‘The hen and stag parties’ and that name fits perfectly. With the ladies, it's a fun and especially noisy chicken coop, let's just say they are excited. With the men, the atmosphere is a bit more tense and the drama starts right away, as there is already talk of a possible partner swap, even before anyone has met their match. That promises something.
More like in Australia
In the Netherlands, we are increasingly adopting the Australian format (think of; the couples weekend and the joint dinner), but MAFS UK is almost exactly the same as that of Australia. One of the experts even works in both Australia and England. Those joint dinners cause enough problems, as everyone naturally has an opinion about each other. Another difference with the Netherlands: the UK couples spend their cohabitation period in a shared apartment complex. Because the couples see each other so much, they also get to know each other better, and that creates extra tension and the necessary drama. It won't be the first time that one of the other (now no longer) singles turns out to be more fun, and jealousy comes in to spoil the atmosphere.
A small warning
Just a warning for everyone who can also completely lose themselves in MAFS and wants to know everything about the couples. In England, the season has already finished and it is already known which couples stay married and which do not. No matter how tempting it is, to keep it fun for yourself, it is better not to follow the participants on Instagram just yet and also to avoid Google for a while. The first six episodes are already on Videoland and a new one comes out every day. So we can look forward, lovely!
