Fan of Nobody Wants This? Then these titles are really something for you

Sometimes you get so into a series that you watch it all in one go. That was exactly the case with ‘Nobody Wants This’. Fortunately, we can look forward to a second season, but unfortunately, that will take a while. For those desperately looking for another delightful romance, I have lined up a number of films and series where you can dream away just as nicely.

One Day (Netflix)
Emma (Ambika Mod) and Dexter (Leo Woodall) meet on July 15, 1988, the last night of their high school years. Although they spend the night together and there is definitely a spark, no romance develops. Their paths diverge, but the friendship remains, and they keep running into each other. The series describes the day July 15 anew in each episode, but always a year later. A mega-romantic series, for which you should definitely have your tissues ready.
10 Things I Hate About You (Disney+)
The film is now 25 years old, but still really delightful. Student Cameron James (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is completely in love with Bianca Stratford (Larisa Oleynik). The only problem: Bianca can only date when her sister Kate (Julia Stiles) does. But she has absolutely no interest in that. In hopes of solving his problem, Cameron tries to set up the school bad boy Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger) with Kate. But that turns out to be not so easy.
Fleabag (Prime Video)
Fleabag is a young woman with a rather turbulent life. She lives in London, runs a not-so-successful café, and has a sex addiction. She also has to deal with plenty of drama in her family. Just like in ‘Nobody Wants This’, the non-believing Fleabag falls for a very religious man this time. It’s not that nice rabbi, but a handsome priest. That promises something.

Set It Up (Netflix)
Before we all fell in love with Glen Powell in ‘Anyone But You’, he played Charlie in the romcom ‘Set It Up’. Charlie is the assistant of an investor and meets Harper (Zoey Deutch) at the office. She also works as an assistant, but for a journalist. The two connect over the fact that their bosses are quite difficult and demanding. In an attempt to reduce the workload, Charlie and Harper try to set their bosses up with each other. But this plan also brings them closer together.
Younger (Prime Video)
Liza Miller (Sutton Foster) is a 40-year-old divorced mother struggling to find a new job. Time and again, her age proves to be the problem. In a bar, she meets the twenty-something Josh (Nico Tortorella) with whom she clicks well. Only he thinks Liza is the same age as he is. To finally be able to start anew, Liza convinces not only Josh but also her potential employer that she is 26. The question is, of course, how long she can keep up this double life.

Always Be My Maybe (Netflix)
As teenagers, Marcus (Randall Park) and Sasha (Ali Wong) have a relationship with not-so-happy ending. They go their separate ways and don’t see each other for years. Marcus stays in San Francisco where he works in his father’s air conditioning business, but he actually dreams of a career in music. Sasha moves to Los Angeles and becomes a successful chef. When she returns to her old town to open a restaurant, she sees Marcus again. The feelings from all those years ago turn out not to have disappeared after all.
Modern Love (Prime Video)
‘Modern Love’ is an eight-part series with a new love story each time. From a marriage on the brink of collapse to an old love that suddenly resurfaces. Each story is inspired by a true personal column from the ‘Modern Love’ section of the New York Times. Every episode is filled with romance, betrayal, and special revelations. So enjoy.
