Is having sex in the pool dangerous?

Do you want to have sex, but not so boring and the same in that bed? Seeing each other in just swim trunks, bikini, or swimsuit is of course secretly quite exciting. Little clothing on the body and the sun shining, whole days off, vacation, summer... That calls for sex.
Steamy sex in the pool, if possible. Or is that dangerous for your punani?
Okay, honestly: it's exciting and fun. And in that respect, it's a real boost for your relationship or dating life, and we recommend it. Still, there are some caveats. Pools contain chlorine and other chemicals to kill bacteria, but these substances can disrupt the natural vaginal balance and cause infections. Not really pleasant. Although water seems wet, it doesn't work as a natural lubricant and can actually lead to dryness and friction. This can cause pain and small tears in the skin.
And that's not all. Condoms can be less effective in water because they can slip off or tear more easily, increasing the risk of pregnancy and STIs. So there are risks involved.
Do you still want to try it? Opt for a silicone-based lubricant that doesn't dissolve in water to reduce friction. If you have a private pool, make sure the water is clean and well-treated. Use a condom, but be aware of its limitations in water. Of course, you can also enjoy kissing and fondling in the pool and save the real act for the bedroom or the sunny garden furniture, but you didn't get that tip from us, okay?.
