Netflix tip Love is Blind Sweden: even more awkward than you think

What a golden formula, Love is Blind. Falling in love without seeing each other. I love it when people go dating on real life television (and all the awkward situations that come with it).
After the successful series in America, the dating experiment has spread to Brazil, Japan, and now for the first time to Sweden. Last weekend I watched all ten episodes in one go.
Love is Blind Sweden takes place in Stockholm. The participants will stay in a luxury resort in the Swedish capital during the recordings. They don’t know each other, don’t see each other, but still fall in love. It takes some getting used to the Swedish language, but once you get through that, it’s enjoyment until the last second. Because the Swedes have different quirks and cultural differences than we do, it’s a treat. Awkward, stiff, and yet head over heels in love.
It remains a strange phenomenon that we as viewers see how two people fall in love just by talking to each other and thus without seeing each other. The best moment for me is when they see each other for the first time and thus officially get engaged. Is love really blind? Can you become so in love through conversations that there is also real physical attraction? Who will actually get married and who won’t? We see a delightful diversity in the couples, the beautiful images of Sweden and Stockholm, the engagement trip to Cyprus, and the fun plot twist during the reunion.
In any case, I’m following a few new people on Instagram. My new friends. These couples now feel a bit like family and I want to follow them. I’m already looking forward to the second Swedish season. Go watch this.
