This Special Forces VIP is making a career switch
From fashion designer to housewife, participating in Special Forces and now a singer. Maria Tailor seems to be a jack of all trades. Before she participated in this program, I actually had no clear idea of who Maria Tailor really is. During her participation in the program, she surprised everyone with her perseverance, although she herself indicated that her surroundings had known this side of her for a long time. She completed the bizarre tasks without complaining, while some others (especially the men!) kept whining and sighing at every step.
And now she surprises us again, this time with her own single. On Instagram, she posted a teaser of the accompanying music video that premieres tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM on YouTube. What we see in the teaser are images based on her participation in Special Forces, but she also portrays various strong women: the businesswoman, runner, Muslim, and surgeon, they all make an appearance. “I wanted women to be able to recognize themselves in a number of characters that I portray. We women are super powerful,” says Maria. She also mentions that she hopes this song gives women extra strength when they see no way out in difficult times.
The timing of this single is of course perfect: it was released on International Women’s Day, which is incredibly fitting for the message of the song. Whether Maria can actually sing live remains to be seen… I am definitely super curious about the clip.
