Netflix tip of the day: Fool Me Once

On New Year's Day, Netflix treated us to a new thriller series that you absolutely don't want to miss, because it's really great again. It is based on the book Fool Me Once, written by Harlan Coben — and if you're a book lover, it's definitely a recommendation. Many of his books are also highly recommended: Live Wire, Shelter, The Final Detail, and Tell No One.
But I can also imagine that you prefer to just enjoy a series from your couch, and then Fool Me Once is extremely suitable. Eight episodes long, each just under an hour — and each episode is incredibly suspenseful.
The series revolves around Maya, who is a single mother after her husband was murdered. Quite traumatic, and she doesn't know what she's experiencing when one day she looks at her nanny cam: in her daughter's room, she sees her deceased husband, very much alive, with her daughter. Is he still alive after all?
In the search for the truth, Maya dives into age-old conspiracy theories that may have more truth to them than initially thought. Fool Me Once is a series full of twists and turns and with a very unexpected ending; exactly what I love, because each episode really keeps you in its grip. A very good start to the new year, Netflix, you have already earned some points.
