This really means the order of your Insta Stories

In the category of questions we all ask ourselves but no one has an answer to, the meaning of the order under your Instagram Story is definitely number one. Instagram Story So why is that one person always at the top? Am I not being delusional for once and am I actually being stalked by my crush, or is it just pure coincidence? Here’s finally some clarity on the ultimate question.
A little side note: it’s not that Instagram reveals all its secrets right away. The company has never fully disclosed what the order actually means. Over the years, various people have tried to crack the algorithm, leading to different theories.
So here’s how it works: if your Insta Story has fewer than fifty views and no further interactions (think heart emoji reactions), then the views are in reverse chronological order of the people viewing it. The first person to see it is at the bottom, and the most recent person who clicked on your story is at the top. Once your Story exceeds fifty viewers — which happens quite quickly for most — the list is sorted by accounts with which you have the most interaction.
Best case scenario: your crush views your account so often that they always appear at the top of the list, but unfortunately, interaction is not solely based on this. The number of times you click on someone’s profile, like their posts, comment on their posts, or view their stories also plays a significant role, perhaps even a bigger one. Just take a look at the accounts that are at the very bottom of your story views. There’s a good chance those accounts mean nothing to you; you care so little about them. The same goes for your Instagram feed: the accounts with which you have the most interaction always appear first on your feed when you open the app, both posts and Stories.
Long story short: it’s not necessarily about how much they stalk you, but rather how often you creep on them. Interaction doesn’t have to come from both sides to ensure that your lover ends up in the top five. Is your ex also at the top of the list? Then seek help ;).
