B&B pre-fun: who will be our favorite this season?
Finally: July 15 is in sight. We no longer have to wait so long until we can endlessly analyze who fits together and especially: what crazy things have been said this time. Last season, after all the antics and ups and downs of the B&B owners, we were treated to a true love match: Paul and Debbie are still super in love.
In the meantime, the two have become a kind of example of how well it can turn out if you participate in the program, so my hope is of course that it will end just as fantastically this season (and maybe with even more than one perfect match?). Here’s a little sneak preview of who we will get to know and which B&Bs we will book our next vacations at. These are the 8 B&B owners of this season:
Iris (57)
Party animal Iris is looking forward to drinking a lot of wine with a fun man after a hard day's work for her business in Greece. She doesn't have a regular B&B, but three apartments that she rents out on the island of Sparto. This woman has it all together, so I think a man can't just impress her. I'm getting some Debbie vibes!
Mike (35)
Is tired of swiping in Spain. Maybe the ladies there have a bit too much temperament, because Mike is now looking for a Dutch chick. Mike is not lonely and alone there in Spain anyway, because he has his family nearby. His wish is to find a sporty, funny woman to surf with in Blanes.
Albert (63)
I think I already find Albert the sweetest participant. All he wants is to fall super in love one more time. That sounds like he thinks he is entering his last phase, but appearances can be deceiving. He actually has two lovely kids aged five and seven. I understand that he is looking for some coziness in his castle with 57 rooms, two swimming pools, and two restaurants. And when he gets tired of the ladies, it won't be hard to hide from them. Where this castle is located remains exciting for now, but as soon as that is clear, I think I will book a trip.
Anja (70)
Although Anja has a B&B in Biches, she doesn't look like a bitch at all. She wants a tough man who can also be super gentle and sweet to her elderly cat Piet. I understand Anja.
Robert Jan (57)
I'm afraid Robert Jan is looking for a needle in a haystack. What he wishes for is an energetic woman who is intelligent, has a positive outlook on life, and understands his ‘lifestyle’. Since we haven't received any explanation about what that lifestyle of his entails, I think this is the recipe for mismatches, but of course, I hope I'm wrong.
Mirjam (52)
I would almost want to sign up for Mirjam, because her B&B simply consists of luxury safari tents in the middle of the South African bush. All those wild animals around are fun, but now Mirjam just wants a man who is up for wild escapades.
Arno (46)
Maybe Arno specifically bought a B&B to participate, because the rooms are unfortunately not ready yet. Or is this the ultimate excuse to let the men sleep in his room? Who knows. Arno wants a tough man to help him get the chores done.
Thijz (64)
Last but not least: a man who is just as special as the spelling of his first name. He lives in a watermill and spirituality is central to his life. I really hope for some Walter-like scenes. He claims to have created a paradise in his French village where he runs a campsite, but he is also ‘just’ an inventor and artist alongside his work in the B&B.
I can't wait until we can enjoy (and cringe) at all the situations the potential matches will get into!
