Oh help: tequila will make a comeback in 2024

Several times I have sworn never to attempt it again, but there is a chance that I will have to give in to it in 2024: tequila is making a comeback according to many trend watchers. And I have seen this trend coming a bit over the past year: tequila (or cocktails with tequila) has become increasingly popular, but in 2024 it will definitely be consumed straight.

One plus point: really good tequila. The times when we drank that nasty stuff from the bottle with the red hat are truly a thing of the past. We may be back to tequila, but this time we are going for quality.

Trend watchers say the same: this year we are going for high-end tequila, the premium brands. This drink is especially popular in America, also to sip on and not just to drink as a shot. I can't really imagine that, but who knows, maybe that trend will blow our way too.

So don't be surprised if more celebrities follow in Kendall Jenner's footsteps and launch their own tequila brand. In that case, we are still lagging behind: her 818 Tequila is not even available in the Netherlands and costs about 100 euros per bottle if you want it shipped. No, I think I'll stick with that one with the red hat for now...
