The best wellness outing with girlfriends
Sauna on the beach and then swimming in the sea

Sometimes something is such a simple good idea that you can't imagine there aren't more of them. Billie's sauna in Zandvoort is an example of that. On the beach, just below the boulevard, there is a preppy sauna. It looks nice and clean—something I find important in a sauna on the beach. And you can rent that sauna.
This is how it works
You can book the sauna online. You can choose an open spot, which means you might be sitting with others. Or, which is absolutely my preference, you rent it for 75 minutes. Then you get a code to open the door. The sauna is already preheated and waiting for you. From the sauna, where you can fit six people, you have a great view of the sea. After your sauna session, you can take a cold shower outside the cabin, but even more fun and refreshing is of course to let the North Sea have its invigorating effect.
Bikini policy
Because the cabin is on the public beach, there is a bikini policy. So no sitting on the wooden benches in your birthday suit. Personally, I find that just fine. I have little problem with it, but seeing other people's genitals is not necessarily at the top of my preference list. I once wrote this rather embarrassing story .
Then by this fireplace
After your sauna session (in an hour I would do three rounds where you sit in the sauna for fifteen minutes, take a dip, and go back into the sauna) you can sit comfortably at Nius. That is a permanent beach club with a fireplace where you can eat very cozily.
What does it cost?
Renting the whole sauna for 75 minutes costs €100 and you can fit six people in it. BilliesSauna Boulevard Paulus Loot, Beach access 7, in Zandvoort
Because even though it may be autumn, the beach always has a pulling effect. At least for me, it certainly does.
I often sprinkle fun tips, if I may say so, on my Instagram. So feel free to follow me if you're waiting for more of this kind of thing.
