What makes you happy? Not money, no, we know that. Because actually, you can't buy very beautiful things. In fact: even if you have all the money in the world, you still can't buy this. You can possess it.

And yet they are worth a lot. Just think of love. More valuable than anything else.

1. Manners. Your morals. What you stand for. Your norms and values. That determines how you approach life, what you do with your career, and how you are towards friends and family. That directs your life in a certain direction.

2. Showing respect. For the elderly, for authority. You need it to get somewhere in your life. Just think of criminals: they often lack this piece of empathy.

3. Character. Who do you want to be? What do you find important? How you deal with successes and failures can shape your character. Perseverance, resilience, and adaptability are often developed through experiences with setbacks. Your choices are important. Consciously choosing honesty, responsibility, and other virtues can strengthen character.

4. Trust. The structure and chemistry of the brain influence emotions, behavior, and personality. What do you believe in? What is your conviction in life, what do you find your energy worth?

5. Patience. Patient people have more calmness within them. They experience more peace and freedom because they don't get stressed about everyday things so quickly. There is always something against it, there is always someone who disagrees with you. It's up to you to not let that bother you too much.

6. Class. How do you dress? What do you say to others? What do you do for others? All things you have control over, but that determine your class.

7. Motivation. You won't get very far by doing nothing. You only get somewhere when you work for it and go for it. Will you continue to develop throughout your life, or will you stand still somewhere?

8. Social. We are not alone in the world, we need each other. We love being together, humor, having fun. How social you are, you possess yourself. It makes your life happier: friendships are the biggest predictor of your happiness, research shows.

9. Kindness. Give something to someone just like that. Smile at a stranger. Costs nothing, maybe makes someone's day. It doesn't always have to be a grand gesture. Show that you are thinking of that other person.
