These are the best Christmas episodes from your favorite series

Christmas is of course all about being together with family and friends. So what happens? You plan the days way too full to see everyone. In between all those dinners, you could use some relaxation. But before your movie is ready, you have to join somewhere else again. Fortunately, the Christmas tree in our favorite series is also set up every year. We gathered the best holiday episodes for that me-time moment.
Emily in Paris – ‘Last Christmas’ (season 4, episode 6)
In the past four seasons, Emily has experienced quite a lot in Paris, but she has never spent the holidays there. And actually, that wasn't the plan this time either. After a successful Christmas party at Agence Grateau, Emily, slightly forced by Sylvie, finally lets go of work to prepare for her flight to Chicago. Only that last-minute flight gets canceled due to bad weather. Fortunately, Gabriel is her saving (Christmas) angel and she can go with him and Camille to the French Alps. It will be chaotic days, but in a beautiful setting and of course in the best Christmas fashion.
Gilmore Girls – ‘The Bracebridge Dinner’ (season 2, episode 10)
As soon as it starts to get even slightly colder, that's an excuse to ‘turn on ’Gilmore Girls’ again. This series should definitely not be missing during the Christmas season. Although we can choose from various Christmas episodes, ‘The Bracebridge Dinner’ is perhaps the most famous (and also the best). When a conference at the Independence Inn cannot take place due to the snow, Lorelai and Sookie have to come up with something else. They invite all the residents of Stars Hollow for a big Christmas dinner, complete with costumes and sleigh rides. A bit over the top, but that's what makes it delightful. You won't get more holiday spirit than this.
Grey’s Anatomy – “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” (season 2, episode 12)
As far as I'm concerned, I watch ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ on every occasion, so definitely during Christmas as well. In the now 21 seasons, many holidays have been celebrated, with the classic being the very first Christmas episode in season 2. As always, chaos reigns in the hospital and the Christmas spirit is hard to find. While Burke and Cristina argue about a patient who refuses a heart transplant due to his faith, Alex is stressed about his exams. Meanwhile, Izzie does everything she can to cheer up those grinch types around her, so that a little Christmas can still be celebrated.
Friends – ‘The One With the Holiday Armadillo’ (season 7, episode 10)
Just like most things in ‘Friends’ Christmas also goes messy. Ross has to babysit his son Ben and wants to teach him about the Jewish holiday Hanukkah. When he can't find a Santa suit, he chooses the next best thing: an armadillo costume. Just when he starts to get his son's attention, Chandler comes in as Santa and Ben is totally distracted again. Meanwhile, things aren't going smoothly for the other friends either. Phoebe has to convince Rachel to move back in with her by making Joey's apartment unattractive. That, of course, doesn't go as planned. Suddenly, our own holidays seem easy-peasy, which is nice for a change.
Gossip Girl – ‘Roman Holiday’ (season 1, episode 11)
The Christmas holidays cause quite a few problems in the Upper East Side of New York. Blair turns into a real grinch out of jealousy when her father brings his boyfriend Roman. She does everything she can to scare him away for good. Serena has a whole different stress about what to give Dan as a gift, but fortunately, she can count on the help of Jenny and Vanessa. Also in the Humphrey household, tensions run high when Allison's former lover calls her, something her husband Rufus is not pleased about. Just a big dose of drama before we return to our peaceful Christmas dinner, lovely.
