These celebs almost participated in the Games

With some celebs, you really get the feeling that they can do anything. J.Lo, Beyoncé, and Ariana Grande who just calmly have an enormous singing and acting career, Taylor Swift who has been tirelessly traveling the world for over a year and performing huge shows a few times a week, but also our own Britt Dekker who not only presents multiple programs but is also now competing in Dutch Championships with her three horses. It is a big dream for her to one day compete in the Olympic Games, but of course, you don't just achieve that goal. These celebrities know all about that, as they themselves once came very close.
Bella Hadid said in 2015 that she was training with her horse in hopes of participating in the 2020 Olympic Games. We now know that she was not able to do this. Her mother Yolanda mentioned that Bella's symptoms of Lyme disease are so severe that she unfortunately had to completely stop riding. Jessica Springsteen, Bruce's daughter, managed to do it. She competed in the 2020 Olympic Games and the team won silver!
Hottie Jason Statham was apparently not only a beauty in 1988 and 1992 but also extremely good at diving. He almost made it to the Games for the British team, but just failed to qualify both times. He doesn't like to talk about it, as it is still a painful subject for him. The same goes for Vera Wang. She was actually an extremely good figure skater! She almost participated in the 1968 Olympic Games but also she drew the short straw, and another duo was sent on a medal mission.
Tyler Winklevoss, who laid the foundation for Facebook with Mark Zuckerberg during his student days, was able to vent his frustration against his former friend well on the rowing oars. He and his twin brother competed in the 2008 Olympic Games. They did quite well and ultimately finished sixth.
Singer Cody Simpson, actually the Australian Justin Bieber, was already swimming at a high level at a young age. He decided to pick up the sport again and try to qualify for the Games in Paris this year. And he almost succeeded! Swimmer Matthew Temple was just half a second faster in the 100-meter butterfly. By the way, he also did well at the Games, winning bronze once with the Australian team in the relay and finishing 7th in the final of the 100-meter butterfly, so I hope Cody can forgive him.
