May's favorite store in Paris
She is going again today.

There are several favorites of course. I usually go to the Monoprix (yes, really) because they have the best children's clothes and also nice basics. After that, I always grab a liter of Savon de Marseille (that's the advantage of traveling by train, you can travel heavy) and definitely make sure to stop by Agnès B. for a classic T-shirt. But a new favorite is the Lululemon store on the Champs Élysées. It may not sound like a ‘hidden gem’ (since it's a pretty well-known brand and that street, we've heard of it too) but that's exactly why it is. Normally, I prefer to walk around the Champs Élysées. It's a bit like Times Square in Paris; a magnet for tourists but definitely not for locals. But I went this time because my daughters wanted to visit the new Sephora that opened there a while back. And the metro stopped right in front of... Lululemon.
I think Lululemon's sportswear is heaven, but to be honest; I find their boutique in Amsterdam quite small and cramped. I always leave empty-handed because I don't feel like trying things on. And ordering online is also possible, but the choice is so enormous that I end up with those high-waisted pants and pockets for your phone while I actually wanted the smooth and lower ones. Well, that's how it goes. But this Lulu on the Champs Élysées is amazing and here's why:
1. It is spacious and everything is nicely organized together.
2. When you go to the spacious changing room, they write your name on the changing room door. It feels very personal.
3. You can order water bottles with your own name or the name of your sports club on it in the Lululemon font.
4. There is a tap where you can fill unlimited water. Drinking water, that is.
5. They don't play terrible loud, annoying music.
6. There is a lovely couch by the changing room where your shopping companions can plop down.
7. I found the colors here prettier, but that might also be due to my overall perception.
8. So if you're still in Paris, definitely don't miss this. And hey, make sure to check out that Sephora too, it's also insane. And on the corner, you'll find a beautiful Monoprix with all kinds of Paris-related fun goodies.
