These earplugs make hearing protection cool

This weekend I am at my all-time favorite festival. ‘Into The Great Wide Open’ (ITGWO for those in the know) takes place on my beloved Vlieland, and that makes it extra nice to go there. The different stages are located in various spots across the island, so you spend the whole day walking outside from forest to dune and to the main stage on the sports field. In recent years, it has become clear how important it is to protect your ears when you go to concerts or festivals.
You can basically buy earplugs anywhere if you forget to bring them, like I bought some pretty good earplugs from Alpine at the Ziggo Dome, but it still feels a bit like it’s not really cool to protect your hearing. It seems much less cool to need a hearing aid at a young age just because you felt too cool for good hearing protection. I also felt the threshold, but I knew that in the long run I would be happy with myself if I stepped over this. And that’s how the Loop earplugs came into my view. Because hey, just look how cool this looks.
It looks just like you have jewelry in your ears, and it goes perfectly with any festival outfit. So I’m quite flaunting those things now, but not just because they look really nice. They actually work really well: I can hear the music perfectly, and I can also follow conversations better despite the loud music around me. It now seems like I’m mainly going to this festival to show off my earplugs, which is of course not the case, but I am genuinely surprised how fun it can be to wear earplugs.
