These scents make your home extra cozy this winter

Now that autumn has really begun, I immediately feel the urge to make my home as cozy as possible. I often get laughed at a bit because ‘cozy’ is really one of my favorite words, so I use it quite regularly. But when it comes to autumn and winter, that one little word emphasizes the positive side of the colder seasons for me. Because ‘cozy’ means being pleasant, together, and indoors. And that's exactly what you feel when you hear the names of the new Rituals ‘Soulful’ line. The line consists of three new scents, all with very sweet names: Love, Gratitude, and Positivity.
Because a cozy ‘get together’ was organized, I of course had to be there, not only because champagne would most likely be served, but also to get a sneak preview of these new scents. It took place in (in my opinion) one of the coziest hotels in Amsterdam: Hotel De L’Europe. A kind of living room feeling, with nice, relaxed live jazz music to emphasize the autumn atmosphere even more. I tried to forget that it was still about 23 degrees outside at that moment. Each scent has its own story, which is about the personal inspiration that the creators of these home perfumes used in their development. The story that stood out to me the most was that of the scent ‘Love’: Haohua Meng Riviere, who developed the scent, for example, used the scent of raspberries because her little daughter always puts a raspberry on each finger when they eat raspberries. It is obvious that this evokes an ultimate feeling of love for her, which is why raspberry is also the basis of her interpretation of ‘Love’.
If I had to choose, I would choose ‘Gratitude’. If you smell closely, you can almost taste the vanilla, the lavender calms me down, and thanks to the peach, I can hold on to the knowledge that summer will eventually return. From November 4, the Soulful Collection will be available in stores, so just a little more patience.
