This intensely popular new movie is banned in Qatar

We all understand that different rules apply in different countries. But sometimes it's just a slightly more noticeable thing that catches our attention. Especially when it comes to one of the most popular movies of the moment, as is the case here. We couldn't ignore the fact that last week the whole world seemed to revolve around Blake Lively. Her role in the new film ‘It ends with us’ is attracting a lot of attention, partly because it is currently the biggest competitor to her husband Ryan Reynolds‘ film ’Deadpool'.
‘It ends with us’ is based on the book of the same name, which was a huge hit on BookTok. So it's not exactly surprising that the film is also becoming a big success. People are practically running to the cinema to see the film. But... Unfortunately, that's not the case for people in Qatar. The film is banned there because it supposedly contains too intimate scenes.
In Qatar, it's not as normal as it is here to see people kissing constantly on TV and in movies. There, it's quickly seen as something that should take place behind closed doors. Because the film with Blake is a real romcom, it is therefore not suitable for cinemas in Qatar. Unfortunately, for those who were really looking forward to this film. But maybe it's a good excuse to book a vacation to a country where the film is showing in cinemas.
