This is the cutest vintage store in Paris
From CHANEL to Gucci for a bargain

It was our very last day in Paris. Our girls were still busy squeezing their suitcases shut and updating their snap streaks, while we still had that intense urge to soak up Paris. I had big ambitions: just a quick trip to the Eiffel Tower to finally take that photo for the Olympic Rings and, since we were in the area, a stop by Lululemon on the Champs-Élysées for one of those personalized drink cups. But it just turned into a stroll around the neighborhood.
As we walked out of our little street, past the pilates studio where they now knew my first name, and that cute little place with the amazing mousse au chocolat, we turned right instead of left. Suddenly we found ourselves in a whole new area. This bakery, we had never seen before. And that fish restaurant, why had we never been there? We decided not to tell our girls about that real Italian with a wood-fired pizza oven — how they had longed for that.
Suddenly we both looked to the left. And we nodded. This called for a visit. It was a vintage shop out of a book, with an old lady who walked proudly and expertly among her trophies. I wiped a strand of drool away when I saw a calfskin 2.55 from CHANEL in the display case. “C’est nouveau,” she whispered. I nodded. I had seen that long ago, of course. There were jackets from Dior, CHANEL (that little droplet in the corner of my mouth again), hat boxes from Louis Vuitton, and a lot of shoes that unfortunately were just not in my size. What always fits is a bag.
So suddenly I saw my love pointing and nodding, and before I knew it, I was walking out of the store with a fresh “child”: a vintage Vuitton that will forever remind me of our wonderful stay in Paris.
