This is why Hollywood is slowly becoming antifillers

This weekend I was at a little restaurant, very low key, just a cozy spot in De Pijp in Amsterdam. A place where I order a beer instead of a gin and tonic, accompanied by bitterballen and more fried snacks. It struck me even more how many people around us had their lips filled to the maximum volume with lip fillers.
In Hollywood, more and more stars are actually stepping away from fillers. For example, Ariana Grande, Blac Chyna, and Kylie Jenner have claimed to have had the fillers removed from their faces. Sometimes because they realized that their looks were being altered too much by the treatments, but sometimes people are also forced to have the fillers removed due to various unpleasant side effects that can occur (even years later).
The most important short-term side effects are inflammation, allergic reactions, and overcorrection. I see that last one quite often, as it is when so much filler is used that a wrong proportion in the face occurs. Long-term side effects include displacement of the filler, hardening of the filler, or even abnormalities in the blood vessels around the filler. The side effect that I think looks the scariest: the skin at the site of your filler can be permanently stretched. That must look terrible, those sagging lips?
Fortunately, the chance of actually experiencing all these side effects is small, but I understand that the celebs are slowly starting to see the downsides.
