This Spanish Netflix series is being called the new La Casa de Papel

A new Spanish thriller series seems to be the new La Casa de Papel: the series is flooded with rave reviews from all over the world.

And people are not just positive, they also say that the series is ‘addictive’. You want to keep watching.

Which Netflix blockbuster is it then? Mano de hierro: made this year, newer than new, you don't want to miss it. The series is about a ruthless drug lord in the port of Barcelona. In terms of atmosphere, it somewhat resembles Narcos, but in terms of tension, it is completely in the vein of La Casa de Papel. One of the main characters has a gambling addiction, but it doesn't just stay on the surface in terms of storyline. You also learn about the characters‘ pasts, diving into a deeper and more interesting plot. And also fun to know: Denver from La Casa de Papel has a leading role here.

The port of Barcelona receives 6,000 containers daily from shipping. And not all of those are legal cargo: in one year, those containers contain no less than 30,000 kilos of cocaine. If they get caught, it's all over for them and a war full of murders and acts of revenge begins... Enough material for an intriguing series. So go watch it.
