This is the most fun sisters' activity in December

Anyone who loves a bit of coziness can't get enough in December. Between all the dinners, decorating the Christmas tree, and the liters of glühwein consumed at Christmas markets, we also get to shower our favorite people with gifts and surprises. But of course, it's also wonderful to pamper yourself a little extra. The happiest way to do that, as far as my sisters and I are concerned, is by choosing a fantastic, actually overly extravagant advent calendar.

December has already started a few days ago, but you're never too late

Even though you might have missed the first few days, it's still worth looking for a nice beauty advent calendar to surprise yourself with every morning. It really helps to give that extra push when you're struggling to get out of bed on a cold morning. What makes it even cozier for me is that I never open the packages alone. It has become a sister tradition to all order the same box and send each other a video of the unboxing of the corresponding package every day. It's so much fun to see how the others react to the gift inside! And sometimes it's also handy: if one sister doesn't know what to do with those weird hairpins, the algorithm of the other sister is full of tips on how to use those things in various fun ways for the most beautiful hairstyles.

Not only is unboxing fun, but there's also plenty to enjoy afterwards

By the time you start testing the products (and in my case, that's 9 out of 10 times the same day), it's also nice to share what the findings are. And one extra tip from the experienced advent unboxer: order that box next year in September. By the time you get to unbox, you've already forgotten the huge investment, and it really feels like a gift for yourself. This year, the Bijenkorf box sold out incredibly quickly, but my sisters and I were lucky to get in quickly. So ignore that sensible voice in your head, treat yourself to that slightly more expensive box, it won't disappoint.
