Why your nail stylist is actually also your psychologist

By
nail stylist

For about twelve years now, I have been someone who always has perfectly polished nails. From a nail biter, I gradually turned into someone who received compliments about her long and strong natural nails. Thanks to my nail stylist, I now have these healthy nails. She refused to put an acrylic layer over them from my first visit, no matter how insecure I was about my weird, bitten nails.

Every four weeks, spending an hour having someone hold your hands, without looking at your phone in between and therefore having real conversations without interruptions, means that sometimes topics are discussed that I wouldn't even talk about with people I see every week. Quite a few subjects come up. Especially since I always remain loyal to my regular nail stylist; she knows everything that is going on in my life and vice versa. But why do I call her a psychologist? Nail stylists see so many different people every day with whom they have these kinds of conversations. You can assume that they have encountered similar situations to yours before with someone else.

And precisely for that reason, they probably know what the best solution is in different situations. It has happened before that thanks to her, I have gained insights and truly feel like I have had an hour of therapy, but probably for a quarter of the price you would pay for a real psychologist. I would recommend everyone to treat themselves to that hour a month. You walk out with more self-confidence because of your fantastic nails (well, you look at them a large part of the day, so you get quite a bit of joy from them) and recharged with all the wise advice. The nail stylist in Legally Blonde helps Elle Woods solve the most complicated legal cases, right? It's actually no different in real life.
