9 streaming tips for your hungover Sunday night

After a busy weekend, you really need a Sunday evening without obligations, to recharge before the new week starts and you have to get back to work. Since choosing a movie or series can sometimes take enough energy (yes sorry, that sounds very spoiled and it is), I made a list of a few things that are perfect for your lazy Sunday evening.
HBO Max
The O.C.
If there’s one thing that can make me happy, it’s a bit of nostalgia. And that’s exactly what HBO Max has to offer: all seasons of ‘The O.C.’ are just online. Wonderful to binge and reminisce (OMG, everyone suddenly was an alcoholic?!), because we actually still know all the episodes by heart.
Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun – Bad Blood
Two whole episodes gaining insight into the feud between Taylor and Scooter (former manager of the big stars), who wouldn’t want that? I’ve been quite curious for a while about what’s going on with all those new versions of Taylor’s songs, because why did she suddenly have to re-record everything? And why is she so upset that Scooter bought the rights to her music? Time to gain some insight with this docu.
A marathon of all Harry Potter films
Anyone over 30 has to admit that they’ve seen all the Harry Potter films at least once. And what could be better than snuggling under a blanket on a dark evening and watching these exciting films back to back? Snacks included and no need to move.
The White Lotus (2 seasons)
If you can still say that you haven’t seen this series, you need to turn on the TV quickly and start watching. The brilliant Jennifer Coolidge is known to many as the nail stylist in ‘Legally Blonde’, but in ‘White Lotus’ she really shines. I personally postponed it for a long time because I find it annoying when everyone says ‘you have to watch this’, but yeah, sorry: you have to watch this.
Netflix
Bridgerton
There’s a good chance you’ve already seen the first seasons, which are overflowing with lengthy sex scenes. Now I’m not going to say that there’s no sex in this new season (there’s a very long deflowering scene, so good luck with that cringe), but the main theme is really different from previous seasons. The tension now lies much more in the mystery surrounding Lady Whistledown and the character Penelope Featherington. Curvy girl power, that’s what’s central.
America’s Sweethearts – Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders
I mentioned this earlier, and now it’s finally online. Phone off, hair in curls, cowboy boots on, and enjoy.
Videoland
Mother Mafia
There’s a new season on Videoland, and although I have to confess that I haven’t started this series yet, I think I’m going to do that very soon. The preview is steamy: sex scenes, affairs, and the standard judgmental mother mafia stuff.
Bend it like Beckham
To stay in the Euro Championship spirit outside of matches, you can put on this classic. A perfect middle ground if your fellow bench warmer loves to watch football and you don’t, or vice versa. This film was a huge source of inspiration back in the day; I briefly thought I wanted to play football to become the best in the world. And we now know that it was ahead of its time: women’s football has only recently really come into the spotlight.
And what about just: the Euro Championship?
This time is miserable but happens every few years; everyone dressed in orange sitting in large groups cheering in front of the TV. It’s even more fun for non-football fans to quietly turn on the match and listen to the cheers rising in the neighborhood when our orange lions score. Enjoy!
