Zendaya's make-up artist gives you the golden tip
Here's how to properly apply a fake eyelash

If there's one thing I love, it's a fake eyelash. But it has to be one that you apply with a Tweezerman. I have, I hope I don't offend anyone, medium feelings about long-term lashes. They are often a bit too long and too thick for me. But those beautiful fake eyelashes you apply for a party, oh la la, bring it on. Well, bring it on, that's immediately the problem. Because try applying a false eyelash on yourself: the chance that there's a big blob of glue somewhere or that the eyelash hangs crooked halfway through the evening is greater than it raining in the Netherlands despite a positive weather forecast. So, it's a big deal.
So I leave it to real makeup artists. Until Sunday evening. Then I had a dinner from Lancôme where their makeup artist Sheika Daley was the guest of honor. Besides Lancôme, she also has a label for fake lashes: Elora Lane. And that's where it happened: I got the golden tip on how to apply the false eyelash. What we, or at least I, always do wrong is that I look up when I apply the eyelash. Wrong, I know that now. You need to place a mirror in front of you on the table and look down. That way you can see what you're doing and where you place the eyelash. And that, dear people, is the secret of the trade. Are we all going to try it this weekend?
