The spring equinox is here and that has consequences for you

Ever heard of the spring equinox?

This zodiac sign determines your life from today

I knew that spring started on March 21, but I had never heard of the astrological spring and the spring equinox before. The fun part of my job is that you can dive into any subject and come out as a half-expert. So now I know everything about the spring equinox and I'm going to tell you about it. Because that is also my job. Researching to then pass it on to you in the most enjoyable way possible.

New spring, new astrological season

Just as we change seasons, this moment also marks a new astrological period. From a darker, introspective time, we move into the light and that happens during the spring equinox; the moment when the sun is directly above the equator and the day is therefore just as long as the night.

Time for growth

Just as the leaves appear and flowers burst from their buds, so it goes with our inner selves. You may have already gone a bit wild with your glassware or delivered a bag of clothes to that nice vintage store because you want to make room for new things. That's not strange; it's due to the period you are in. This is a time of renewal and expansion; the world is yours.

What are you going to do?

1. Set goals
The energy of Aries encourages you to set new goals with strength and enthusiasm. Grab a blank notepad and write down your goals. Dream big, okay.

2. Grow
This is a time to focus your energy on self-improvement, letting go of old patterns, and planting the seeds for the future. Every journey begins with the first step.

3. Balance between body and mind

Since the spring equinox represents a balance between day and night, it also symbolizes the need to find balance in your own life. It's a good time to evaluate the balance between work and personal life, emotions and logic. I really try to look critically at my schedule and cross out things that I really enjoy, but that ultimately cost me too much time and energy. I want to move towards a smooth line, not pressing the gas and then slamming on the brakes. That's my goal for now.

4. Renewal in relationships

Since Aries is a sign that often makes new connections, (haha, I once had a boyfriend who cheated so much that I have to laugh really hard at this description, but that's beside the point) this can be a time to meet new people or give existing relationships a new boost.

5. Strengthening your self-confidence

Aries is known for its courage and self-confidence (that boyfriend of mine wasn't that handsome, but had so much self-confidence that we all fell at his feet), so the spring equinox is a great time to work on your self-confidence.

All nice and good, but how do we do that?

1. Start a new project
Even if it's just the shed where you're going to make a cave or your closet that you're going to make Pinterest-proof. Just something you feel like doing.

2. Set goals
What do you want to have achieved by the end of this year?

3. Clean up and tidy up
And not just your house, also that agenda, your mind, and friendships. Maybe it's also nice to eat purely for a while, that helps you remember this special period all day.

Enjoy it. Love, May
