I love power. And I know you do too. And maybe not just during your vacation or festival, but actually for me always as an extra backup throughout the year. Read, I am really addicted to my phone. But what can we do without? Nothing, right? We can’t pay anymore, can’t park your car, can’t be reachable. Just the thought of it gives me spontaneous eczema. Maybe this is also worth a trip to the therapist, you know, I am aware of it.

So I went looking, for you and me, for the best tested power bank. It’s always a bit like comparing apples to oranges, because do you want a larger power bank that can recharge your phone all day long (YES!!), or do you go for a smaller, more compact model? These are often lighter, but also charge more slowly.

There are two winners:

Power banks of 10,000 mAh

A power bank of 10,000 milliampere-hours (mAh) is sufficient for most people. But not for you and me, because if you are reading this, you are also a power junkie. How often you can recharge your phone depends on various factors. Think about the power bank itself, the battery of your phone, and the charging speed. On average, you can expect to fully recharge about 2 times with a 10k mAh power bank, but in practice, this can be a bit more or less.

Best in the test: INIU Power Bank

As the best in the test comes the INIU Power Bank. This compact INIU power bank is mega user-friendly and has handy extras like a percentage display and a flashlight. It performs as the best, but if you charge multiple devices at the same time, the power decreases. Quite understandable.

All the advantages of this INIU Power Bank in a row:

  • The power bank charges quickly.
  • Not too big or too heavy.
  • Has pass-through charging.
  • Has 2 USB-A ports.
  • Has 1 USB-C port.

Power banks of 20,000 mAh

For many people, a 20,000 mAh power bank might be the best option. Do you have several days without a power outlet nearby, for example because you are going to a festival for a few days? Then you better choose a larger power bank of, for example, 20,000 mAh or more.

With a 20,000 mAh power bank, you can fully recharge an average phone about 4 times. How often this works exactly depends on factors such as the type of power bank, the battery of your phone, and the charging speed. In practice, this can therefore be a bit more or less. Often these larger models can also charge a bit faster.

Best in the test: Samsung 20,000 mAh.

This I’m going to order this powerhouse right away. Because it excels with 3 super fast USB-C ports and offers really nice capacity. Although it is relatively small for a 20,000 mAh power bank, it is a bit larger and heavier than the smaller models. But hey, we have to give a little for it.

All the advantages of this Samsung in a row:

  • The power bank charges quickly.
  • Not too big or too heavy.
  • Has pass-through charging.
  • Has 2 USB-A ports.
  • Has 1 USB-C port.

With this power bank, you can fully recharge an average phone about 4 times. How often this works exactly depends again on factors such as the type of power bank, the battery of your phone, and the charging speed. In practice, this can therefore be a bit more or less. Often these larger models can also charge a bit faster.

For charging, you almost always use a USB-C to USB-C cable, and this is included. It charges your phone super fast (if your device supports fast charging), and the power bank itself also charges very quickly.

With all the ports, you can charge both devices and the power bank itself. So you don’t have to pay attention to which input you use. In terms of size and weight, it scores well for a 20,000 mAh model. Do keep in mind that it is a bit larger and therefore also a bit heavier than a 10,000 mAh power bank.

So: you can now really comfortably go to a festival or on a trendy hut trip vacation without power. No thanks. Greetings from a phone addict.
