Block that agenda: B&B Vol Liefde is finally back

After the reunion episode of ‘Winter Full of Love’ we all fell into a deep hole at the end of February. We had to cope with the knowledge that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the summer edition for a few more months. When exactly, we didn’t know, and after all those weeks of indulging in the many ups and downs of love, that was quite tough. But, the wait is finally over. Starting next Monday, July 14, we can dive back into what is undoubtedly the most delightful program ever. We will introduce you to the upcoming celebrities of this new season.

Already dropouts

In December, we got our first glimpse of the new B&B owners during ‘The Kick-off’. These were the calls for those who were interested in embarking on a love adventure abroad. There was plenty of choice: eleven owners, spread across six different countries had signed up. But still, we won’t see them all again. During the application period, 56-year-old Jos dropped out; he changed his plans to start a B&B in Valencia, and then you no longer meet the program's requirements. 42-year-old Patrick also decided not to participate anymore; it was said that there was already no match between the letters for him. Two new candidates came in their place. You would think that brings us back to eleven, but unfortunately, that is not the case. Danny (55) and Wilma (71), who we did see in ‘The Kick-off’, have also dropped out. The exact reason remains somewhat unclear, but it seems to be because there were too few applications for both of them. Fortunately, there are still nine very diverse candidates left, whose search for love we can follow closely.

Daniel (38), in the Czech Republic

In the Czech village of Seč, about an hour and a half drive from Prague, lives Daniel. Here he runs hotel Kapitan, a hotel he took over from his father in 2012. After living in the Czech Republic for a while, Daniel decided to run things from a distance and return to the Netherlands for a career in shipping. In 2024 he returned, and after a total makeover of the hotel, he is ready for love again. He hopes to find that in a nice woman with humor, who loves adventure and good food, preferably with a glass of wine.

Dick (32), in Suriname

The most exotic search for love this year is with Dick in Suriname. Anyone who wants to win his heart must not be faint-hearted; around his resort near Paramaribo, you will find quite a few wild animals. During his explorations in the jungle, he looks for reptiles and amphibians, and if a snake is found somewhere at someone's home, Dick gets called. As for his ideal woman, Dick is looking for someone who is both adventurous and willing to venture into the jungle, as well as someone who enjoys a fun party. It certainly won't be boring with him.

Eveline (51), in Italy

We can definitely call Eveline a power woman. This self-made entrepreneur has set up several successful businesses, works as a lawyer, and simultaneously runs her B&B in San Benedetto Val Di Sambro near Bologna. Eveline is living her Italian dream, but one important piece of the puzzle is still missing: a nice man. In a dream scenario, a humorous and sociable man will knock on her door, who can offer her security. Eveline is still full of dreams and ambitions, but she doesn’t want to achieve them alone.

Ingrid (61), in Greece

When Ingrid first arrived on the Greek island of Lesbos, she knew immediately: this was her dream destination. She started a B&B there and gave it the fitting name ‘Dutch Dream’. The locals are also happy with her; with her background as a hairdresser, Ingrid regularly ensures that everyone walks around with a perfect haircut. To make the dream picture even more complete, Ingrid is still looking for a nice partner; a tough man who enjoys the romantic island life.

Illya (52), in France

In 2021, Illya traded Zeeland for the French village of Viviez. Here he runs a chateau and a luxury B&B, and he is quite busy with that. Cooking, cleaning, or gardening, all of that is no problem for Illya. What he would also love to do: make time in his busy schedule for a nice girlfriend. He would like to share the cozy life in his French castle with a social and kind woman.

Jean-Paul (59), in Spain

Between the hills of Benidorm and Alicante lives the cheerful Jean-Paul. The B&B life is still quite new for him; in the city of Jijona, he is in the process of taking over the B&B of a good friend. But this role seems to suit him perfectly; Jean-Paul knows how to get things done and is a caring type. Although he often takes care of the fun and gets the party started, his Spanish life also has its moments of loneliness. He would love nothing more than to have a spontaneous woman by his side, who loves Spain as much as he does.

Magda (75), in France

Magda may have long since passed retirement age, but she shouldn’t think about stopping her B&B in the French Vendée. In 2023, she lost her husband after a long illness, and although she manages fine on her own, she still misses a loving partner in her life. Magda loves to cook and would love to do that for, and preferably together with, someone. Does a man want to score even more points? Then an active attitude is the way to go. Gardening and walking with her little dog Doudou will also make Magda happy.

Petra (60), Greece

Ingrid is not the only one who lost her heart to Lesbos; Petra also found her home there. She traded Amsterdam for life on the Greek island in the 1990s, and for the past three years, she has been renting out villas. Petra speaks fluent Greek and is now a familiar face among the locals; she opened the first lesbian bar on the island years ago. While summer is bustling with life, winters are quiet; and it is precisely those moments that Petra hopes to make more enjoyable with an independent and adventurous woman. She misses that down-to-earth and humorous touch from the Netherlands among the Greek ladies.

Rob (65), France

For Rob, no adventure and no project is too crazy. In 1998, he moved to the French Pyrenees where he runs a domaine in Estadens; a chicken coop was transformed into a B&B. Besides taking care of guests, Rob also drives the village children to school every day. He doesn’t do the work in the B&B alone, but together with his partner and ex-girlfriend, with whom he has a 16-year-old daughter. After being single for five years, Rob thinks it’s time for love again. One thing is for sure: as a hobby pastry chef, he will pamper his guests.

Just a few more days to wait, and then we can enjoy blossoming romance and somewhat awkward situations again; for nine weeks long. July 14 marks the start of ‘B&B Full of Love’ and from then on, we will get a new episode every Monday through Thursday. On Videoland, we can look forward to it as usual; after all those months of waiting, our patience is certainly wearing thin.
