New year, clean slate. January 1st is the moment to hit play for a new lifestyle. I had imposed a dry December on myself, at least until Christmas, and I was quite satisfied with that. Refreshing to not roll through that December month hungover, and because of this, the threshold to -almost- not drinking in January is also a lot lower. Yet everything we resolved with clenched fists on January 1st evaporates over the course of days and weeks. Here’s your perfect excuse. It’s not you, it’s your Zodiac sign.

The zodiac signs that drop out quickly:

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)
Geminis are known for their versatility and curiosity, but those same traits also mean they get distracted easily. The enthusiasm for that new healthy lifestyle is often short-lived when something else grabs their attention.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)
Sagittarians have big dreams and ambitions, but they don’t like limitations. A strict diet or fixed gym routine quickly feels like a prison. They prefer spontaneity over discipline. The Sagittarius may have a bit less discipline, but there are certainly many things you can learn from the Sagittarius.

Pisces (February 19 – March 20)
The dreamy Pisces start off with good intentions, but as soon as things get tough, they lose their motivation. A glass of wine after a long workday quickly wins over dry January.

The perseverers:

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)
If there’s one zodiac sign known for its perseverance, it’s the Capricorn. They set realistic goals and work towards them with discipline. Working out three times a week? No problem. Want to learn something from a Capricorn? Just read this.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)
Virgos are perfectionists. When they set a goal, they go all in. They carefully plan their workouts and meals and stick to them without any problems.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)
Scorpios have immense willpower. When they decide to turn their life around, they stick to it. They see it as a personal mission to achieve their goals.

What strategy fits your zodiac sign?
Whether you’re a quick dropout or a perseverer, you can always make a plan that suits you. Try to set goals that align with your energy and character. And don’t set the bar too high for an entire year or a whole month. Every day you take on is just another good day.
