Hvar Croatia

Do you want to go to the trendiest island in Europe? Then definitely don’t go to Ibiza. Been there, done that.

Ibiza is, don't get me wrong, wonderful.

But it is: incredibly expensive. For a bit of a half lunch dish to share, you already pay seventy euros and I'm not exaggerating this time. Fortunately, it can also be cheaper from now on, especially if you head towards Croatia. Hvar is the new island where the jet set hangs out. Hvar is a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea, located off the coast of Dalmatia. The island is known for its beautiful landscapes, historic towns, and pleasant climate.

Go enjoy the most beautiful beach clubs, beaches, and cocktails. Book a nice hotel and immerse yourself in luxury, for a fraction of the price of what Ibiza would actually cost you. You can already get a return ticket for 63 euros. The capital of the island is conveniently also called Hvar. Hvar City has a charming old town with narrow streets, historic buildings, and cozy squares. The city is dominated by the well-preserved Fortica (Spanish fort) that offers a stunning view over the city and the surrounding islands. And it smells divine everywhere, because... Hvar is known for its lavender fields. Especially in the summer period, you can enjoy the fragrant lavender fields that adorn the island.

And if you're leaving with a thirsty group: good news. Hvar is also known for its wine production. The island has fertile soil and a favorable climate for vineyards and olive groves. Local wines, such as the white wine ‘Bogdanuša’ and the red wine ‘Plavac Mali’ are popular. And sorry, for this amount, it's hard not to go? Two less shirts from Zara and you're already sitting on the beach...

And you can have a fancy lunch there for just a few tens. You're welcome.
