This is how Victoria surprised David Beckham in Paris

From March 3rd, Paris Fashion Week it is in full swing and this week is all about the new autumn/winter collections from top designers like Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Dior. On Tuesday evening, the Louvre in Paris was turned upside down, as a new exhibition was opened with a dinner in the Louvre. One thing is certain; everyone who received an invitation cleared their schedule for that day because when it comes to seeing and being seen, this was the place to be. Of course, there were David and Victoria Beckham guest stars, but Victoria appeared in a dress that we might not entirely expect from her. While Victoria often opts for color and is not shy about showing a bit of her slender body, she was now covered from front to back and top to bottom in a, moreover, black fabric. The train of her dress was meters long and above the backside, there was a small twist that made the dress, of course, also a museum piece.

Striking choices
Thus, Gigi Hadid the old fashion rule of combining silver and gold was broken with the dress she wore. The dress reached the ground and was off-shoulder. Designer Jeremy Scott made this dress from three previously made dresses, speaking of sustainability. Paris Jackson, the daughter of Michael Jackson, wore a dress - black, long sleeves, and open parts that a normal person would call ‘holes’ - from Dutch designer Iris van Herpen.

The most beautiful dress of the evening
The showstopper of the evening was undoubtedly model Barbara Palvin. The dress, which was also designed by Van Herpen, was inspired by ‘sheets illuminated by the glow of crystal pyramids,’ and that may be a nice reference to the pyramid that has become so iconic for the entrance of the Louvre. The dress resembles the one Beyoncé wore during her concert in Amsterdam (June 2023) because Beyoncé is also team Van Herpen; she even wore four of her dresses in her clip Mine. Toby Henny, the makeup artist of the evening, gave Barbara Palvin a natural and bronzy look, which is somewhat the signature of this makeup artist. The hair, styled by Owen Gould, fell straight and loose. Also nice: Palvin wore no jewelry, drawing all attention to the dress. She must have had Coco Chanel in mind, who always dictated; when you leave the house, take one thing off. In other words; less is more.

Would you rather go for the gold and silver combining dress, Paris's black dress, or the swan-like dress? I'm very curious, my favorite is and remains the dress of Barbara Palvin.
By the way, if you, like me, have a huge desire to visit the exhibition as well, you can here order tickets.
