The Ordinary launches this mascara and we are fans

Stop the presses: The Ordinary is back with a product that makes my beauty heart race – no, it makes it race a whole lot faster. Because my eyelashes are quite sensitive, I skip mascara during the week. Only for special occasions do I give them a little extra volume and color. But this launch? This is truly a gift from heaven. The Ordinary is introducing the Lash Curl Finisher. Exactly the product I didn’t know I was missing, but which is now immediately getting a permanent spot in my makeup bag.

Think of it as a clear mascara, but with the effect of a lash lift: lifted, fresh, open lashes without a single pigment. Have you dyed your lashes? Then the compliments festival is officially open. Gen Z saw this trend coming from miles away with their “Clean Girl” and “model-off-duty” hashtags, which have been trending on TikTok for years. And with over 260,000 Google searches for “Clean Girl Aesthetic” last June 2025, we can say that this trend is not going away anytime soon. And I don’t mind that at all.
The Ordinary is launching this month (sign up here and stay updated) a transparent gel that doesn’t pretend to be mascara, but simply gives your own lashes a mini-lift. No drama, no clumps, no stiff feeling or panda eyes during a rain or snow shower on the go. Just: curl, hold, and the effect: “are these really my natural lashes?”. Oh, yes.

The gel lays a thin, invisible coat around each lash, keeping your curl neat all day long. Thanks to the film formers (sounds complicated, but they are just ingredients that form a soft yet strong shield around your lashes) and squalane (you won’t find a better moisturizing oil), your lashes stay supple, shiny, and therefore well-groomed. And I can definitely use that.
And the best part? The effect is temporary. No chemical lash lift, no hassle. Just curl in the morning (or not), apply the gel, and wash it off in the evening with your cleanser. How easy do you want it? And you can get it for about €10.
