Eating in The Hague - these are the nicest and tastiest restaurants

Looking for that one perfect spot for a dinner night out? Try The Hague. From stunning cocktails to plates that make your heart (and Insta-feed) race, these are the hotspots you absolutely want to add to your list. If you ask me, huh… And my friends from The Hague.

BlueBlood

Luxury vibes, insane cocktails, and especially the culinary experience that Chef de Cuisine Luis Rojas treats you to. If you ask me, the perfect combination has been found between the smooth, pure flavors of Japan and the spicy, playful palette that is unmistakably Latin American. Tip: go for the tasting menu.

Kyatcha

Sushi heaven has been found. Everything looks like it came straight from a Pinterest board. And also fresh from the garden, straight from the sea to your plate. You don't want anything more, really.

Yuzu

Asian street food meets fine dining. What was once an old garage has been transformed into a super cool Asian street food bar with character. Tip: the Omakase experience. Let the chef guide you and enjoy dishes that are created on the spot.

WOWCrab

Funky interior and perfect for a date night if you love seafood. On the Grote Marktstraat, they serve Cajun-style seafood boils in a shared dining style where you eat with your hands. Gloves, aprons, and napkins are ready, so you won't get really dirty. It's really fun to try.

By Ami

By Ami is one big pastel paradise full of flowers, golden details, and photogenic plates. Here you brunch with avocado toast full of edible flowers or sip on a lavender gin. Dinner? From sushi rolls with a twist to sharing plates full of surprising combinations and flavors. Here you eat with your eyes and taste buds.

Dekxels

Small, refined dishes with an Asian and European twist, perfect for sharing (or not, we understand you). Intimate, stylish, and always a bit surprising (yes, I come here more often). Love Dekxels!

Lapsang

Lapsang Wine Bar in The Hague is cozy, charming, and a bit Parisian. Here you sip on perfectly chosen wines while enjoying refined, seasonal dishes. Perfect for when you want to channel your inner Parisienne.

Tommy’s & Zuurveen

Winner of the Golden Ladle. Enjoying life to the fullest. Think: pure flavors, fresh local products, and a fantastic wine list. The atmosphere is no-nonsense, with just enough flair for an evening of ‘how delicious we are out’.

El bar

Mediterranean coziness, tapas with a twist, and a wine list that begs for a refill. The atmosphere is Spanish, and each plate is a mini-vacation of ‘enjoyment’. Perfect for long evenings full of tapas hits and surprising combinations.

Cafe Cami

Stylish and just cozy enough to want to stay extra long. And the food? A delight. Think creamy burrata with juicy tomatoes, freshly made pasta with just the right bite, and desserts that you secretly want to lick clean to the last crumb (not done!).

Callao

Peru meets luxury city vibes and totally Nikkei cuisine: the perfect mix of Peruvian passion and Japanese finesse it is. Think of fresh ceviche that tingles on your tongue, perfectly rolled sushi but just a bit different than you normally order, and the tastiest sauces. The interior is chic, cozy, and the cocktails are creative.

Bistro Le Petit chef

Here your table is transformed into a mini-theater, where a Le Petit chef prepares your dinner right before your eyes. The menu is French with a creative twist: from scallops to bouillabaisse. Each course is a combination of taste, smell, and spectacle. It's super surprising and feels very Parisian.

Encore

Encore is and remains a favorite of mine. It has an extra touch of glam. Perfectly grilled fish, a delicious piece of meat, sushi, and cocktails that score your evening 10/10. The interior is stylish without being stiff, and the service is always on point. Tip: order the parmesan truffle scallops, mmm.

Giorgio Rosa

Under a striped umbrella, with a spritz or espresso on the table and sunlight over the water… You would think you are in Italy, but this is just The Hague. On the terrace of Giorgio Rosa, you want a lazy lunch, a 10/10 dinner, or treat yourself to the tastiest cocktail. This Retro Italian & Mediterranean Osteria is one you really want to save for later.
