Viral on TikTok: this white foundation stick

The most googled foundation from a few years ago was by far the Meroda foundation, you know, that white foundation that adapts to your skin as soon as you blend it. But what is going viral on TikTok now are white foundation sticks, in six different shades. Well, ’white“: once applied to the skin, these sticks also change to the color of your own complexion. The latest hype? The ELROEL Blanc Cover Cream Stick, complete with built-in brush, skincare ingredients, and a finish that lasts up to fifty hours.
How does it work?
The stick starts as a super soft, whitish cream. Once you apply it and blend it with the built-in makeup brush, microscopic collagen capsules burst open. They release pigment that adapts to your skin tone. No loose brush or beauty blender needed: the stick has a brush with fine hairs on the other side that applies your foundation evenly. What makes this stick special is that those tiny capsules usually need water to break down properly on the skin, but a stick contains almost no water – just wax to make the stick a stick. This makes the stick unique and truly different from others.
Skincare in your foundation
This is not just makeup. The formula is packed with nourishing ingredients like Volufiline (for a subtle lifting effect), French collagen for hydration and elasticity, and niacinamide and adenosine for a more even complexion and anti-aging. According to ELROEL, the glow lasts up to fifty hours visible, and the foundation is said to make pores less visible and not transfer. Not that anyone wears foundation for fifty hours, I think? But we can conclude from this that it really stays put, at least for a day and evening.
The shades
Officially, the Blanc Cover Cream Stick is available on their own site in three shades: Light, Medium, and Deep. However, some TikTokers claim that there are six variants, possibly due to new releases or limited editions. What they have in common: they all start white or grayish, but end up as your color – or at least that’s the intention. There are still some questions about the darkest shade, as it still looks too light. And that’s not the intention in 2025, right?
@thelipsticklesbians Replying to @cherrypop3738 Beauty queens, we heard you! SO many of you were curious about @ELROEL white foundation stick (primarily @Official Lady Venom🇨🇦🧿 video) and sent in questions asking us to evaluate so here we are. I’ll be honest, I did not expect this outcome. She pleasantly surprised me. 👀As a product developer, I’ve seen this color changing tech before (not necessarily “adaptive pigments”), but seeing it in a stick format with this shade payoff? Totally unheard of. I was shocked at how well it blended into my skin tone! Now these do go deeper than this tech typically allows, at least from what I’ve seen, but the true test is always real melanated skin. I’d love to see how she performs on deeper complexions, so if you’ve tried her, tag us! I’ll definitely keep evaluating and can’t wait to see how she plays with a full face layered on top. Is this tech too daunting to you or are you curious to give her a try?
