In 2025, Marc Jacobs, Loewe, and Gucci are going all out for playful, almost surreal designs. Some pieces seem to come straight out of a museum —really beautiful, but to copy them 1, 2, 3 into your closet… meh.
These are the trends we still need to get used to. But hey, we said the same about sneakers under evening dresses, pedal jeans, and pantyhose in open-toe shoes.
The shoes of Marc and Minnie
Some designs look like they were plucked straight from a cartoon. From gigantic platforms that Minnie Mouse would run through her Clubhouse with jealousy to boots with a mysterious slit—they are all ‘en vogue’ this spring. In our Amayzine WhatsApp group it led to conflicting reactions. While one was almost doubled over with laughter, the other appreciated the experimental silhouette.
A light look
Just when you got used to the puffer coat, the designers push the valve even further in their designs. Voluminous dresses that look like a balloon ready to take off at any moment, for example. Playful? Certainly. Practical? That’s another story.
The pants that trick your brain
From ultra-tight leggings that pretend to be pants to heels that seamlessly blend into your jeans—the pants of 2025 play with perspective. Acne Studios even brings back the hoop effect, giving jeans a completely new shape. A revolution? Absolutely. But whether we are ready for it is another question.
Fashion continues to do what it must do: it renews and surprises. Maybe we are laughing at these trends now, and in three weeks we will be wearing them ourselves.
