These are the cutest outfits for May 5th

For those who didn't know: next Monday you will probably also be off. May 5th is Liberation Day, and the best way to celebrate this day is with a fun little festival. There are many with free entry, but if you have bought a ticket somewhere, you are – just like me – of course on the lookout for a good last-minute outfit for that day. I'm shopping with you, and for some inspiration, I’ll list my favorite outfits for you. The theme for next Monday? Edgy and feminine with a touch of spice.
What will the weather be like on Monday
In Amsterdam, it will be around 12 degrees on May 5th, and the sun seems to be hiding behind the clouds. At least, that's how it looks right now. The weather in the Netherlands can still do anything. If we assume these weather conditions – including a few good cocktails – a long pair of pants with a short top and a jacket is perfect. But let's be honest: if you throw back a few extra Aperol spritzes, you can easily wear that cute dress with a pair of boots and go for it. Keep an eye on the weather here.
Outfit 1: Super Rich Kids
This outfit is edgy and really perfect for a good house party. A nice pair of black boots under a long shirt from Super Rich Kids and ta-da. I've listed the high boots from Bonprix, but those old party shoes you still have at home can also look great with this outfit. The green shade of the shirt is really perfect, and if you get too warm, you can just tie it around your waist, because under that green shirt you can wear the jumpsuit from SRK. Okay, and how fun is it to top off your outfit with a slightly larger glitter handbag? I saw this one at Pull & Bear, and it really completes the outfit and makes it a bit more original. How clever: your fan even fits in it.
Outfit 2: Anything but basic
Who said that edgy can't be colorful? The new collaboration between Tessa van Montfoort and Harper & Yve is really to scream about and definitely belongs in this list. For everyone who doesn't know the TikTokker Tessa yet: her style revolves around color, prints, and a mix of girly and edgy. Where everyone wears gold or silver jewelry, she – yes – opts for over-the-top and colorful accessories.
To make the somewhat girly dress edgier, we won't combine it with boots, but with good sneakers. You can wear the bandana either around your neck or wrap it around your hair with the point facing back, so that half of your hair is covered. And those bangles? They really complete the look. And check out that beautiful white sustainable bag – love it! Although it's no longer King's Day, we’ll still hang on to that orange theme a bit – if you don't mind.
Outfit 3: Summer Incoming
With this yellow, beachy outfit, you'll steal the show at a festival. Believe me: everyone will want to be you with this look.
I'm going to be very honest and say that this is only a good option if the weather cooperates – but hey, you do you. Is yellow your favorite color? Well, then you can't leave these items in your shopping cart until the next festival. By the way, you won't be the only one in that skirt, because that lace is totally in right now. But whether many people will go for this color? I haven't seen them often anyway.
Outfit 4: Black boring? No!
Fully black is not always the way to go, but if you play with fun fabrics, prints, or details, you can really make something mega fun out of a completely black outfit. Just look at this set from Loavies! The studs give the otherwise somewhat depressing black look a bit more edge. And if you also add a shiny bag, you're immediately playing with different textures. Is this outfit too cold for you? A good thermal legging (you can find that here!) works wonders. Read here about the 8 qualities of women who wear a lot of black.
Outfit 5: Adidas. And also leopard
Although leopard print seems to be a bit on its way out, we are going to try to keep the trend alive. How fun is that leopard print pants from Adidas? This is how you best combine leopard print. And let's match it with fully black accessories. Oh, and do you already have a boring, black oversized shirt lying in your closet? Don't want to spend a lot of money on a simple shirt again? No worries: with a safety pin, you can create a super cute, tight look. All you have to do is gather all the fabric around your belly, secure it with a safety pin, and tuck the remaining fabric under your bra. Top off your look with the well-known necklace from Boza Sieraden and bam – your fifth look is complete.
