Ghost blonde is the hair trend of this summer that everyone is talking about and believe me, you want this. Forget those bright highlights or platinum blonde: ghost blonde is everything you want if you love a subtle, sun-kissed glow in your hair, without it looking like you just spent three hours at the hairdresser (even if you secretly did).

What is ghost blonde?

Ghost blonde is, as the name suggests, softly bleached hair. Think: barely visible highlights, but still that lighter sheen over your locks. No harsh transitions or noticeable stripes, but a mix of lighter shades that blend with your natural hair color.

It’s the no make-up make-up look, but for your hair. Even royals and celebs are fans of this hair trend. For example, Kate Middleton spotted with a super natural, but absolutely dyed ‘bronde’ cut: the perfect blend between brown and ghost blonde.

How do you get ghost blonde hair?

The secret lies in blending. Ask your hairdresser for a balayage in one or two shades lighter than your own hair color. Get super fine highlights, really not too many and not too light blonde. The goal? A natural, shiny color, as if you just returned from a lovely vacation. I’m a fan.
