Buy that fabulous pantsuit from Máxima here

Nothing Dutch is foreign to me, so I like to complain a lot. About the weather (too cold one moment, too warm the next, never good anyway), about traffic jams, and of course about the NATO summit. Why couldn't I just drive from Haarlem to Zandvoort to let the dogs (I have a dog staying with me) run wild on the beach? What on earth does Zandvoort have to do with The Hague? There isn't even a direct connection. And when I dropped off my love at Schiphol and wanted to drive home via Hoofddorp, every exit was blocked by a military truck as if it were wartime.
From frustration to admiration
And where I should have avoided The Hague, I was funneled onto the highway towards The Hague. Anyway. I grumbled and growled. Why did this hobby project (sorry, I was really struggling here) of Mark Rutte have to take place here? We were not equipped for that at all! And Huis ter Duin is a fine hotel, but I didn't really see Trump becoming very happy there.
The power of the royal picture
But as easily as I complain, I can just as easily change my opinion. Because when I saw our wonderful queen shine in her lime green suit yesterday, with Princess Amalia by her side, who – as the English beautifully say – is blossoming in every way, I felt only one thing: pride.

Suit Máxima steals the show
And I had to adjust my opinion about Mark Rutte. Because holding that NATO summit in our small country might have been the most strategic move imaginable. The history of our royal family, the splendor of Huis ten Bosch, the charm of our queen and crown princess, and the unpolished nature of our king might just form the honey that would connect everyone.
Queen Máxima in fashion classic from 2006
As I write this, four newspapers are in front of me on the table, all showcasing the NATO summit, with three out of four featuring our queen jumping out at you. It's also great that she wore a suit she has worn before – in 2006. By the way, I know all this through Josine Droogendijk from Fashion queen Máxima, who keeps track of all this wonderfully.
Where do you buy that suit of Máxima?
This suit is – boss above boss – couture and specially made for our queen. But within the prêt-à-porter line of Natan, the royal supplier of our queen's clothing, something incredibly similar is for sale. It is stylish, elegant, special, colorful, non-standard, and glamorous. Exactly like our queen herself.
Amalia: timeless class in Ralph Lauren
And Amalia? Oh, how I find her stunning and charming. She wore a long dress by Ralph Lauren, just as classy and timeless as she is.
