Look of the Day, May

By
Two side-by-side images of a woman in a completely white outfit with a long, tied wool coat and fringed trousers. She wears red/burgundy heels with a snake print and a small beige shoulder bag. In both images, a fluffy, light brown Labradoodle-like dog is at her feet. On the left, the woman is bending down to the dog. On the right, the woman is standing upright and looking to the side, while the dog is looking at the ground. They are in front of a white front door with bricks on either side.

Today I am in tutto panna, as the Italians beautifully say. In other words: in whipped cream color. This beautiful coat from Accenti, a very nice brand founded by the Dutch Ilse Langius , asked for a matching shade. I chose a slightly oversized denim to go with it and a soft cashmere sweater.

The wool coat is calf-length, has a beautiful, playful lapel collar, and a nice wide belt that you can also tie at the back or let hang loose when you wear the coat open. I chose to tie it tightly now — the weather was a bit chilly — and it is lined, so wonderfully warm.

Finally, I bought the pumps in Italy, in my beloved Puglia. But to be completely honest, I quickly swapped them for a sock and a sneaker after the photo was taken.
