Milan, Beverly Hills, or Seoul? With this Diptyque candle, you’re immediately there

Ask one of my friends what makes me happy and they will answer: a scented candle from Diptyque. Or a glass of buttery chardonnay and Adele singing at my wedding – that too. A luxury scented candle is the epitome of luxury: you can certainly live without it, but oh, how it makes your life just a little nicer. It's about the numbers after the decimal, the details when you talk about luxury. That ironed sheet and flower on your pillow are also not basic needs, but they do make that once-again-sleeping at the Four Seasons in Florence high on my wish list.
Diptyque in the suitcase
My magazine mother Peggy Weijergang once taught me that when you go on vacation, you should always pack a scented candle in your suitcase. This immediately personalizes your hotel room. In our own house in Puglia, there is always a Figuier from Diptyque somewhere in a cupboard, but when we went skiing in Madonna di Campiglio in February, there was a Feu de Bois in my luggage.
Twelve Diptyque cities
Because the travel fever is rising during this period, Diptyque is releasing a dozen scented candles that both in design and scent breathe the atmosphere of a particular city. Milan, Beverly Hills, Seoul, Berlin, Miami, Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, and of course Paris – because that is the city where it all began.
Perfect gift (for me definitely)
I think it's a perfect gift for Mother's Day, but also nice for that friend whose trip couldn't go ahead due to circumstances. Or just as an invitation to travel there with someone dear to you. Or you do, like me, just close your eyes and you are there.
There is even a Diptyque playlist
For the Italy-loving person, Diptyque even made a playlist. You can find it on Spotify under the name Italian Escape – Diptyque. Ordering can also be done online, just tipping.
