Nicole Kidman was so underdressed at the Chanel Show
Last night it was finally time for the show that the entire fashion world had been waiting for: Matthieu Blazy’s debut for Chanel. And he faced a challenge: as the (only!) fourth creative director of the French fashion house, he had to pull out all the stops to leave his mark on the brand. Of course, all of Hollywood was lined up to take front row seats at this historic moment. Like Nicole Kidman, who wore a very… special outfit for a fashion show along with her two daughters. And let’s just say: she was completely underdressed.

Office-chic at Paris Fashion Week
Yes, you read that right. Our friend Nicole Kidman went to the Chanel spring/summer show just in her simple white blouse and gray trousers. She paired it with black heels and a red Chanel Classic Flap bag. In her hands, she had a red leather jacket that I honestly still want to have. With this outfit, she could have easily walked into the office. I immediately thought: “When you have a meeting and then have to swing by Paris Fashion Week.”
Okay, okay, it was a basic outfit. But is that really so bad? I’m obviously exaggerating a bit; it was secretly just a really nice look. She rocks the ‘break up bangs’ and surprisingly wears heels again. Something she hasn’t been spotted in for a long time according to the internet. Is it the post-breakup glow from the separation from Keith Urban that makes her look fantastic in this simple look? I think so. It felt like a throwback to Praktische Magie, with those bangs – minus the red hair, of course. Anyway, she looked really good.
Daughters Rose and Faith steal the show
That casual look seems to be genetic, as her daughters Sunday Rose (16) and Faith Margaret (14) were also present in – hold on to your hats – the simplest outfits you’ll ever see at Fashion Week. Of course, you can’t dress those kids in the most expensive designer dresses, but although everyone was interested in her daughters, not everyone was impressed by their denim looks. Rose stood among the planets in light jeans and a red cardigan, and Faith wore a little black dress with Mary Janes and a denim jacket that probably belonged to her sister. I think it’s cute, but online people thought the trio looked ‘like they were going to Target’. Well. Underdressed much? A bit, but they certainly look good. And let’s be honest: Chanel is Chanel. Whether it’s a denim jacket or a long dress with a train.
Why Nicole and Keith are actually getting divorced
Together with her children, Nicole stood as a ‘united front’ for all the press. She’s really not going to sit behind the geraniums crying, you know. A week after the announcement of the divorce, she’s just standing there, proud of her daughters, with a new look. Isn’t it great that you can do that? Certainly. But why are she and Keith actually getting divorced? Well, according to a source, it’s because they simply grew apart. That may sound cliché, but it’s true. They hardly saw each other: Nicole was always filming or Keith was on tour. There was still love, but real intimacy was no longer there. It was even so bad that Keith quietly set up his own place; they didn’t even live together anymore. Their lives developed separately from each other, so it was no surprise to their circles that they were splitting up. However, according to the source, there is a chance for reconciliation: “If this divorce brings them back together, that would be great. But Keith had to address his dissatisfaction with her.
