Pentecost festivals: Where you need to be

By
these are all festivals during Pentecost

Yay: Pentecost is just around the corner and that means only one thing: an extra day off. And what do you do then? Exactly, you go to a little festival of course. Feel like enjoying some wine on the terrace? Go for it! But for all the festival lovers among us: I've spotted the most fun Pentecost festivals for you. From small-scale parties to well-known festivals: I've lined up 7 for you.

Oh yes, and no worries – do you already have something planned for Pentecost, but are you already feeling FOMO for your next festival (and is there nothing in your agenda yet)? Let me help you out: this coming Friday (May 30) celebrates PIV its 10th anniversary in Amsterdam. Think: deep, minimal, and tech house, in a setting where you only encounter happy faces and good outfits. Party? Absolutely. Buy one of the last tickets here before it's too late.

Furthermore, Lost Lake in Oss is also a big recommendation for the Brabanders. On May 28 and 29, you can dance there under the trees, by the water, to the finest house and techno sets. A bit mystical, nice and laid-back, and surprisingly well organized. So come on, open your agenda and mark those dates. Here you can get tickets, you’re welcome.

1. Open Air – Amsterdam

First up (and one of my favorite festivals): Do you love electronic music and a festival in the middle of nature? Then Amsterdam Open Air in Gaasperpark is the place for you to be. On Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, everything here revolves around dancing and of course also discovering some new music. Besides the big headliners, there are dozens of smaller stages — and that means the audience can spread out nicely across the grounds. Bye bye, pushing and shoving. Well-known names like Frenna and Mula B are definitely on the lineup, so it's guaranteed to be a party. Get your tickets here.

2. Summer Spectacle at the Lake – Alphen aan den Rijn

Ooh, first up: are you looking for a festival with a summer vibe – even though it's predicted to be only 18 degrees without sun? Then the Summer Spectacle at the Lake in Alphen aan den Rijn is really a big recommendation. From Friday, June 6, to Sunday, June 8, you can enjoy the festival, and you have Monday to recover. The good news? Saturday and Sunday are free days, you only need a ticket for Friday.

Still no idea about the festival? Think: Kane, Snelle, Sem van Dijk (yup, Wendy's son) and André Hazes. Get your tickets here and read more about the festival on the website.

My fave: For techno lovers, Verknipt Festival in Utrecht is the place to be. During the 10th edition, on Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8, you can go all out on the festival grounds. Since it's the 10th edition, it's promised to be incredibly cool. The lineup consists of well-known names and emerging artists, including Karah and BØĘry. Get your tickets here before they sell out.

5. 7th Sunday Festival – Erp

A very well-known festival among the Brabanders? 7th Sunday. The genre? That is house and dance music. Pull that colorful festival top out of the closet and buy your tickets here. 7th Sunday always pops up on my feed and is really a vibe you can say ‘you’ to. Names like La Fuente, Tiësto, and Tino Martin will perform. Note: the tickets are not cheap, but hey — a good party has its price;) The preparations are already in full swing as you can see:

Last, but certainly not least: On Sunday, June 8, you can enjoy the De Zon Festival in Amsterdam in the Tuinen van West. With no less than 8 different stages and a mix of genres, this will be a TOP party - and not just for Amsterdammers. Between the ages of 18 and 23, you can score tickets for 40,-. The line-up is not completely known yet, but from the TikToks, I get total allies vibes. Get your tickets here (note: if you are under 23, you must get them via the official website)
