Look, here's the thing. Although women still shop online more often than men in terms of the number of purchases, men are often the bigger spenders in online shopping. So, okay, shhh: we shop more often. And more products, too. But men spend more money. On average, men spend about 68% more per online transaction than women. While women may shop online more frequently, men tend to buy more expensive products like electronics and luxury items. This results in their average spending per session being around €220, while for women it is about €151.

What do they buy then? Expensive things. The combination of purposefulness, love for expensive iPhone gadgets, and the ease of online comparison makes online shopping a hobby for men as well. And yes, increasingly often clothing too.

The rise of men's fashion brands specifically targeting online sales has made online shopping more appealing to men. In the past, it was mainly women's fashion brands that were present online, but the market for men's clothing has exploded. There is more choice and they click everything into that cart. It's really no longer just something women do. So yes, we buy more. Okay, fine. We won't say anything more about it. But those men, they spend much more money on clothing, cords, threads, screens, phones, and garden tools. Fine, we all have our flaws, right? But don't let anyone tell you that you should stop all that online shopping. From now on, you know your comeback.
