Regretting You: this is one you want to see in theaters

Get ready, because there's another good old tearjerker in the cinema. Now that you don't want to spend evenings outside anymore, you're doing something else: watching movies. And me? I'm in the mood for a romantic film that rips your heart out and then eventually puts it back together again. You too? Great. Because Regretting You is now showing on the big screen.
Okay okay, slow down. I understand you want to know what the movie is about first. Not everyone is spontaneous enough to just rush into the Pathé on a word of advice. So, what's it about?
Regretting you in a nutshell
Based on the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover (yes, the one from It Ends With Us!), this film takes you into the complicated relationship between mother Morgan (Allison Williams) and daughter Clara (Mckenna Grace). Their world collapses when Clara's father Chris and Morgan's sister Jenny die in a tragic car accident. While Morgan and Jenny's husband (Dave Franco) try to support each other in their grief, they discover a shocking secret that changes everything. Meanwhile, Clara develops a relationship with the popular Miller (Mason Thames), which only causes more tension between mother and daughter.
Why you should see this movie
Yes, sorry, but with these actors? You definitely want to see this. Mckenna Grace is fantastic in everything she does. And Dave Franco? I want to see him after Now You See Me. And actually, every adaptation of Colleen Hoover is good. It Ends With Us was, despite all the scandals, a huge success. Oh, and did you know this film is directed by Josh Boone? He is the director of The Fault in Our Stars. Well, then you know this is going to be good.
Oh and one more thing… Are Mckenna and that Mason a couple?
If we look back at history, we know that a lot of on-screen couples have really fallen for each other. Just think back: You have Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez – yes, there are plenty of examples. So, well… When the internet saw this TikTok, everyone was sure: Mckenna and Mason are head over heels in love.

Was this cute trend just for the film's PR, or is there more going on? That's what Entertainment Tonight they wanted to know too. They asked her if she expected people to ‘ship’ them. “It was a mutual decision that we would do this trend.” Mason said it was her idea, and Mckenna? She giggles and blushes after the question is asked. “It was funny and fun to do.” That says enough… right?
It's not confirmed, but. Big but, there are hints. For example, Mckenna posted photos where she is reading How to Train Your Dragon, and Mason Sunrise on the Reaping. These are books from the adaptations they both star in. Is that a coincidence? Mmm. I don't think so.
That they are cute, we are sure of. And well, for this movie you just have to make romantic advertising, but since the most recent posts, it can hardly be anything else. We see Mason who has his arm around her waist during a fun evening in some bar, and they walked together under an umbrella. This could all be innocent, but why would Mckenna post those photos? No idea. (Or maybe yes?)

The confirmation for many fans is the latest TikTok on the film's account. Here, Mason and Mckenna participate in a trend where you see each other from two perspectives on screen. This is a cute trend, but that's not why everyone is going crazy. That comes from the phone cases of the two. It could be strategic, but both phone cases contain photos from photo booth strips. Here, the two are seen intimately while hugging each other and posing together. That chemistry can't be fake, right? I call the shots: those two are head over heels.
