Whut: this hair product gets oil stains out of clothes

By

It has happened to me a bit too often that I had to throw away a piece of clothing because of an oil stain. While cooking or just that one olive that I stuff in my mouth before going to the cinema: it always happens to me. Almost impressive, really. And no matter how much I scrub, it doesn't get any better. Fortunately, a life hack has been found for this, and there's a good chance you have the miracle product at home in the bathroom: dry shampoo. Who would have thought?

Normally, we use dry shampoo to refresh those greasy locks to postpone washing for as long as possible. But it’s not just good for that. Because it contains ingredients that absorb excess oil, it is an ideal product for removing stains.

And how easy it is. Spray the oil stain with dry shampoo, let it sit for a few minutes, and then dab it off with a clean cloth. Et voilà: nothing left to see. Personally, I would still throw it in the wash afterwards, but if you're in a hurry, you could just leave it like that. Just make sure to remove that unflattering white residue properly.

The best part is that it is a super cheap alternative to expensive products. A bottle from the drugstore is more than enough. I hope you’re not pulling out your most expensive dry shampoo for this. Moreover, it is NOT harmful to your clothing and can be safely used on most types of fabric. Except for silk and suede, of course. You’d better avoid these two.

So: dry shampoo it is. From now on, I’ll make sure to have a small spray can in my bag when I go out for drinks with friends. Bring on the olives, I can handle it.
