How to style your Christmas tree completely on trend this year

Nothing is as fun as the anticipation of Christmas, right? The biggest trends of this year, the most beautiful home tours, and the newest holiday collections that you can finally buy from now on. The perfect inspiration that makes us realize every year again: yes, this will be my entire personality this Christmas. And if you haven't found yours for 2025 yet, I’d love to share mine: the xxl bow. Super stylish, easy, and totally on trend.

But really in extra-large size. I know: every year we say we will keep it simple and every year it turns into a sort of Christmas version of Project Runway. But this year... this year is different. This trend is so easy, so chic, and very fashionable.

First of all: you don’t have to hang 400 ornaments strategically or drape a garland three times again because it’s ’just not quite symmetrical‘. One bow, or maybe two or three, but that’s it. Anything but hysterical and yet immediately that editorial feel is what you have here.

You can make bows yourself, tie them yourself (or of course buy them ready-made!) and decide how big they should be.

Go for velvet, satin, or tulle.
Anything soft, shiny, or that gives a see-through effect radiates luxury.

Work with one color, at most two
Olive green + burgundy/gold? Yes.
Deep red + cream? Also yes.
Beige + chocolate brown? That’s me!

Position
– All the way at the top for the ‘glamour bow topper’ effect. Bonus points when the end of the bow just touches the floor.
– Or go for a slightly lower spot for a more nonchalant vibe. Also fun in combination with a few smaller bows.

Less is really more in this case
If you do an XXL bow, the rest of the ornaments don’t need to scream at you. Go for basics: narrow ribbon bows or at most a few simple ornaments, but that’s it. The bow is the star.
