Pienstables' tableware collection is wicked awesome

By
Woman in an elegant cream-coloured top stands smiling in front of an attractively set breakfast table with croissants, strawberries, ruffled crockery and pink accents. She is holding the book Pien's Dinner Club. In the background are bordeaux placemats with frills, a bottle of wine, baguettes and a detailed tableware arrangement.

Are you still looking for beautiful tableware? Then you should stick around. If there’s one thing Pien Wekking – Yes, the one from Pienlaathaaretenzien – was often approached about, it’s her too cute tableware. With every recipe video or photoshoot, everyone wanted to know one thing: where do those cute plates and placemats come from? After shopping in every corner of the world, Pien decided to take on a new challenge. After two cookbooks (with the third coming out next month) and a successful social media career, she comes up with a passion project that got out of hand: Pienstables. A, how do you guess it, tableware brand. And honestly? These items are so cute, you want to stock up on them now.

These are the must-haves for your dinner party

If there’s one thing Pien loves to do, it’s organizing a dinner party. She prefers to do it with items she scored on her travels, like colorful placemats or deep bowls in the most beautiful shades. Her love for tableware and for planning a cozy evening is reflected in the very first Pienstables collection. And I can tell you one thing: I’m a fan.

The tableware

We start with the tableware, which is unfortunately already sold out. But that doesn’t mean we can’t take a look at it. Because have you seen those plates? Yes, sorry, but I could almost daydream here. That dark beige look, combined with that dark purple? And those swirls? I find that so beautiful. It has a bit of a vintage look. As if you scored these plates at a thrift store. The dinner plates are the perfect plates that you can combine with anything. Use the whole plate for your main course or serve your appetizer right in the middle. Oh, and another fun fact: the plates are handmade in Portugal.

But well, you obviously eat more than just dishes that fit on a flat plate. A soup or pasta will also fit in with you, so there must be a plate for that too. The alba Pasta Plate is perfect for that. This deep plate is ideal for such dishes.

Napkins

For a dinner party, you need napkins. At least, if you want to do it in style. You have a few: the Noa Napkins made from 10% lyocell. No, this is not a plastic polyester thing, but a sustainable napkin made from natural wood pulp. And they are certainly not ugly: these napkins are super chic and could easily be found in a hotel with those elegant black lines.

Do you prefer 100% cotton? That’s possible too. The Mia Napkin has the same look as the Noa, but in a different color. You have them in light pink with burgundy details, white with light pink details, or light blue with burgundy details.

Placemats

These mess protectors can make or break your dinner party. You can’t just use bright purple placemats if you have a polka-dot gold theme – you want to coordinate that, of course. For example, with the Josie placemat. With those fringes and colors in light blue or magenta.

The Lottie Placemat is for the pink lovers among us. That gingham pattern is so cute. I immediately think of those Sunday mornings when you go breakfasting with the whole family. The whole table is then filled with croissants, eggs, fruit, delicious baked rolls, and jam. Then you want a nice table, right? Especially during Christmas or Easter – this just screams Sunday Roast.

Polka dots are the trend of the moment. I want them in my dresses, tops, AND on my placemats. This black Coco Placemat is just great, right? If you ask me, at least. I get all the Parisian vibes from it.

Do you want ruffles and a Christmas feel? Then the Belle placemat is something for you. This placemat with light pink and burgundy ruffles fits perfectly with my interior. Mix ’n match with a pink, white, or burgundy tablecloth. Those colors flow harmoniously into each other as if they are puzzle pieces.

Tablecloths

A tableware collection is not complete without tablecloths. Pien thought so too, because of course, she released matching tablecloths. Because yes, that’s the secret to a Pinterest-worthy dinner. I know what’s going on my Christmas wishlist, because I want them all.

The Lottie tablecloth has, just like the placemat, a light pink gingham pattern. And those ruffles? They come back at the bottom, because this tablecloth has a skirt. A skirt, yes. Isn’t that cute? Just a bit old-fashioned. You either love it or you hate it.

The polka dots return with the Coco tablecloth. This one obviously has dots again and is done in black and white. The largest part is white, while the skirt is black and white. The polka dots have a truly timeless look that you can use year after year – during the Christmas dinner or at your Roaring Twenties theme party.

Elegance is visible, just like in the Disney Princess, in the Mooie Tafelkleed. This is the calmer variant of the tablecloths: no pink fuss or dots, but subtle light pink and white stripes. The skirt is slightly more striking, with pink and burgundy ruffles.

Do you, like me, want to plan all your parties down to the last detail? Then you should hurry, because this collection is sold out so quickly.
