That first impression in B&B Full of Love doesn't always turn out to be true

Time to catch up on B&B Full of Love, because week one is already over. For all the TV viewers, those watching via Videoland might be much further along. But well, we won't reveal anything and there's already plenty to say about the first four episodes. While the first seven owners started off a bit calmly and the first impressions were mostly ‘nice’, in some B&Bs the tide is already turning.

Obstacles are piling up in Illya's B&B

Despite the whistle to slow down, Illya keeps the pace nice and high. We can't really speak of a leisurely walk through nature, and the tour of the garden feels more like a marathon for Kim. That's not the rushing things that she might have expected. But that speed isn't the only obstacle; the more time they spend together, the more differences come to light. Kim doesn't like being in the kitchen, and Illya sees that as a downside. When she also doesn't like gardening, he wonders why she actually signed up. The two keep trying for a while, but can only decide that this isn't going to be a match. True to Illya's pace, his next single Kim is already dropped off in the parking lot. And the Belarusian and Ukrainian Rayisa immediately turns the tables. Now she is the one who, fitting with her work as a journalist, opens the question fire at lightning speed; and the castle lord wasn't prepared for that.

Marta also struggles with the B&B Full of Love struggle

All B&B owners and their love guests have one goal: to get to know each other better to discover if love can arise. To do that, asking questions is of course a must; but despite the fact that we are now in the fifth summer season, some candidates still seem to have missed that memo. Where the first day together for Magda and Fons started rosy, not much of that is noticeable the next morning. Magda has a tight schedule, and Fons’ slowness morning routine doesn't really fit. A beach walk should restore the false start of the day, but that's exactly where it goes wrong. No matter how many hints she gives, Fons just doesn't ask those questions; and that might cost him dearly.

Jean-Paul has a B&B full of love for food

Everyone has their own way of expressing love, and for Jean-Paul, that's clearly in the form of a well-set table. As soon as Renate wakes up, she is greeted with an extensive breakfast. The rolls are a bit burnt, but it's the effort that counts. Even before the first meal is finished, lunch in the village is already being discussed. It remains a bit of the common thread through their days. We hop from one bottle of wine to another, and the snacks are in high demand. Jean-Paul's second single Yvonne is immediately brought into this rhythm. And even with the three of them, they have it ‘fun and cozy’.

It's give and take at Ingrid's in Greece

We had somewhat predicted it, but that strong first impression between Ingrid and Frank has taken a few hits. We fully understand that the Hague single wants to enjoy the relaxed island life; but we also have to agree with Ingrid. A little initiative makes a man just a bit more attractive. It takes a few nudges, but then a light goes on for Frank: he takes Ingrid out for a dinner for two. He scores points, but the finish line is still far from sight.

Another search for love in Lesbos

It's anything but calm in Lesbos, because Petra also longs for a B&B full of love. Her mother once fell in love with a Greek and brought her to the island, but she is looking for a Dutch lady. After a critical selection with sister-in-law Lianne, there seems to be a slight preference for the Brabant Lieske, who is allowed to come by first. And she doesn't come empty-handed. Almost half of the Dutch supermarket has made its way into the suitcase; Lieske is not planning to go home anytime soon. The two can at least laugh together, and the conversation never falls silent. Although Petra is already thinking about moments when she can escape the chatter of her first single; maybe not the best foundation.

Dating in Suriname is definitely not standard

Dick had one clear requirement for the ladies in his call video: they must love adventure. And there was no lie in that. His first love guest Karin has just arrived, and she is already getting acquainted with his pet snake Victor. She doesn't seem scared, so the first test is passed. Meeting the family probably wasn't on Karin's agenda for day one, but with Dick's brother still visiting, there's no escaping it. That trial is also a success, and that gives hope for a chance of success. This couple has done their B&B homework, and the deeper questions are not skipped here. So far so good, we can say; at least if we can believe Dick's smile.

The adventure begins for Eveline

At the last minute of week one, we meet Eveline in the Italian San Benedetto Val Di Sambro. She also clearly knows what she is looking for, and that is more than just love. Anyone who dates Eveline also immediately goes for a job interview. Ideally, her new lover will also become her business partner, with whom she can grow the company together. The first selection of candidates has been made; now it's just waiting to see if that perfect mix is among them. A lot awaits us.
